A couple days ago, I sounded off about the big oil companies moving back into Iraq. I just discovered a Mother Jones article that did the same thing, except Tom Engelhardt is even more suspicious than I am. He points out that only unimportant people were skeptical of Bush’s reason for invading Iraq. Some 11 million – 30 million of them were running around with signs that said silly things like: “No Blood for Oil,” “How did USA’s oil get under Iraq’s sand?” and “Don’t trade lives for oil!”
Update on the price of oil:
4422 military deaths
29,000 military wounded
85,153 – 92,883 civilian deaths
