I learned recently that in the Participation in Government class (PIG) at our local school, students are required to visit various local government offices. One of those offices was Social Services (welfare). Here they were required to obtain various application forms for aid, including welfare and food stamps, which they had to fill out correctly. I guess it’s a sign of the times when “participating in government” means knowing how to work the system.

And then there’s the two 11-12-year-old boys in Britian who were disciplined for being disrespectful. Why? Because they wouldn’t kneel down on prayer mats and pray to Allah during a religious education class. Politically correct, indeed. The sorry details are here.

Hello akaGaGa. Thanks for joining the Friends of Liberty blogroll! I look forward to reading your blog. It is so encouraging to find a person of like-mind from Upstate New York to join my blogroll!

Thanks again, and God bless you.

Thanks to you, too. We do seem to be a pretty rare breed, don’t we? :)

A rare breed, eh? Well, let’s hope we’re not as rare as we suppose. Meeting other people of the same persuasion helps encourage me into thinking that my type isn’t limited to my own four corners. :)

It looks like you’ve got some pretty good stuff here. I’ll have to check it out!
