A dear young lady I know was recently baptized in the Holy Spirit while on her mission trip to Africa. She gave a testimony at church yesterday about this baptism, which included the following video. Watch it. You will be inspired.

Wow. This is an incredible video, and the music is amazing. It’s hard for me to understand why “contemporary ‘music’” receives more notoriety and attention then stuff like this.

Anyway, it’s great! Did you make it yourself? If so, may I ask how you found the soundtrack? :)

As we say in these parts, Herky, GOD IS GOOD! I see you went to read her testimony, so you know Jayme made the video and how that all came about. I’m glad you were blessed.

Over the past few months, we have been talking a lot about the Holy Spirit in our quiet little church. I believe in my heart that what happened to Jayme is just the beginning of what God has planned for us. (We’re praying for a violent rushing wind and tongues of fire!)

Thanks, Jean. It’s a real encouragement to hear about your church. My church is very similar, and in my own family, we too discuss the Holy Spirit, and the need for a true revival.

What good news it is! To open your eyes and see that God is beginning a mighty work in our very state! If I may add, Upstate New York has always been a center for national revival. Both First and Second Great Awakenings have endless roots and connections to New York State in general, and Upstate in particular. God is moving! Let’s keep in touch with His Spirit!

    God bless!

Amazing, isn’t it? Right in the midst of the mess our country is in, God still hears the cries of His people.

And you’re right about upstate NY, Herky. But one thing I noticed is that Finney skipped right over us, going from Troy to Utica. I intend to have some serious discussions about that with God. :)

Lol! You probably live in the more rural areas of New York, so that might explain a little. New York was the “wild western frontier” of those days, and much of it had been unexplored and unpopulated. But now that it has been settled, it’s high time for an awakening in those parts!
