Here in upstate New York, fall is upon us. They’re forecasting our first hard freeze tonight; the tractors and wagons have been going by all day, loaded up with corn; and yes, we’ve had the heat turned on for a couple weeks now.

As I’m not a cold-weather person, I’ve been dreading the approach of snow and ice, but today I looked out our bedroom window – and remembered. I remembered that I actually like the beauty of our fall colors, and the crisp, clean air; I love our neighboring orchard‘s fresh apples and cider donuts; and God is still on His throne.

I don’t like the cold weather either. But you’re right. And I do love the colors of fall.

Well, I fulfilled my promise — early this time! — my first installment on the discussion of liberty is up. It’s the basics, pretty simple stuff, but the basics come first. Hope you enjoy reading.

Thanks for posting the lovely photo. :)

Oh, good, Herky! And I see you did another post on Herculean Reflections. I will read both of them when I have some time to think.

    Thanks!
