There was a house fire this morning, three doors down and across the street. Unofficial reports from neighbors say there was an explosion about 6:30 am, which I did not hear, although I did hear the fire siren. They also said that the owner managed to break a window and climb out, thank God. There was not much left of the garage (on the right) by the time I started taking pictures. There were at least four different fire departments at the scene.

Oh, dear, we heard the sirens and fire whistles and thought it might be up near you. How awful!

Thanks, 3C, it is awful. The trucks are still there, but I don’t see any more flames or smoke, so it must be winding down.

This is just a little too much excitement for our neck of the woods.

Wow, Jean, you sure have had your share of near-by disasters recently! Glad you are OK, and that the man escaped.

We sure have, Herky. And to top it off, after things were winding down, we had another fender-bender at our intersection.

By God’s grace, we are fine. I hope you are, too, and that you have a blessed Thanksgiving.
