As badly as I feel for her family, the Lord was gracious. On her last day here on earth, my friend’s pain was completely gone and she was full of peace. Her family was blessed to share that day with her, and the service today mentioned it frequently.

Also in the service, the pastor focused on the same passage of scripture that I posted a couple days ago for my friend. God does indeed lead us.

Hi Jean. I am sorry for your loss. It is always difficult for those left behind, but at least we have the comfort that she is blessed, and that someday we will be reunited. I can’t wait to meet her on the other side of glory!

    Revelation 14:13 –
Then I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow them.”

    God bless and comfort you.

Thanks, Herky. When I think of her, my heart truly rejoices, because I know without doubt that she’s in a far better place.

The hard part is the difficulty her family now faces. At the end of the service, the family each went to the casket one last time before it was closed. Her husband picked up their 4-year-old son, as he cried out, “Bye-bye, Mommy. I’m gonna miss you.”

    Now that’s heart-wrenching.
