We got our first real snow last night – only a couple inches, but the ground is cold enough so it’s sticking. In fact, it’s so cold (HOW COLD IS IT?) it’s so cold, that I caught this amazing shot of an eagle, frozen in flight.

Okay, he’s probably been frozen his whole life. He’s perched on top of the old courthouse. :) But this mourning dove posed on top of the “birdfeeder tree” for me, and the rest are just some shots of snow on stuff. Come February, it’ll get old, but right now I appreciate the beauty of things covered with white fluffs.

Great photos!! Oh I am SO JEALOUS!! lol

I tried taking some photos. I REALLY need to read that manual someday…

thanks for your comments about my new blog design. I’m pondering… gotta get creative with that header and background.

Thanks, Mrs. M.! But I have to tell you, manuals are no help. I got my new camera from a local shop run by a very nice guy. I told him I wanted to take pictures of birds and flowers and scenery, and he helped me pick it out based on that. THEN … he put the batteries and memory card in (!) and showed me how to take all those pictures!!! Nothing like local service. :)

I still need to get back up there and ask him how to take pictures of the moon. The night setting, even on my tripod, turns a nice crescent into a round ball of light. :(

And I can’t wait to see how you finalize your blog. Your ability to do that stuff, however, does not make me jealous. It just makes me glad I don’t have to! :)
