I’ve never been much for country/western music, but I always had a soft spot for that old trucker song, Convoy. Remember these lyrics?

Yeah, breaker one nine
This here’s the Rubber Duck
You got a copy on me Pig Pen, c’mon

Uh, yeah, Ten-Four Pig Pen, fer sure, fer sure
By golly it’s clean clear to Flag Town, c’mon
Yeah, its a big Ten-Four there Pig Pen
Yeah, we definitely got the front door, good buddy
Mercy sakes alive, looks like we’ve got us a convoy

7:40 pm addition to this post: Woohoo! There’s a video!

This still makes me laugh, and I always thought a convoy would be great fun. Well, I just found out that tomorrow, from New York and from Buffalo, and maybe from up the northway, there are going to be convoys heading to Albany to support an anti-corporate welfare lawsuit that’s being argued in the Supreme Court at 1:30 pm. What better reason to join a convoy?

According to this site, there will be a rally on the capitol steps at noon, the arguments at 1:30 pm, and a dutch-treat lunch at 2:30 pm. I’m sorry I can’t do all this, but maybe I can take some photos when they go through our area. And maybe you could go have fun for me?
