It seems I’m way behind the times, but I figure I’m not the only one, so here’s a very cool search engine. When you do a search through Scroogle, it goes to Google, and you get a fast, nice clean list of results, without all the ads.

Why bother, you ask? Because, unlike Google, who stores every search you do, just waiting for some government bureaucrat to come looking for it, Scroogle:

  • doesn’t use cookies
  • doesn’t save search terms
  • deletes logs within 48 hours

When you search using Scroogle:

  • Google cannot set a cookie
  • doesn’t see your IP address
  • and cannot tell which searches are from the same person

They have a secure link if you want, and if you click Browser support, Firefox, (which is what I use) there’s a search engine plug-in available. What’s more, Scroogle is an official non-profit.

If you think Google is getting a little too big for its britches – not to mention they’re a little too happy to cooperate with whatever government is around – check out Scroogle!

The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall contains the names of 58, 260 men and women who lost their lives or went missing during the Vietnam War. It’s comprised of two walls, each 246.75 feet long.

The Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, also known as the Holocaust Memorial, was opened in Berlin in May of 2005. It encompasses a 4.7 acre site covered with 2,711 concrete slabs or “stelae.”

The United States has murdered 50 million babies since 1973. If a memorial similar to the Vietnam Wall were to be built on their behalf, it would be 81 miles long. These innocents, whose blood we have shed contrary to every command of God, have no faces or voices, but with your help, they now can have names.

The Georgia Right to Life has created a Virtual Holocaust Memorial Wall. I encourage you to take a minute to visit this site, and give one of the forgotten an identity. It seems like the least we can do.

To my knowledge, nobody has accused Obama of plagiarism but … it appears there’s an echo in Washington. This video lends a little support to the Ron Paul position that there’s no difference between the republicans and democrats.

The five-year-old boy and his four-year-old sister were being looked after by their grandparents because their mother, a recovering drug addict, was not considered capable.

But social workers stepped in after allegedly deciding that the couple, who are aged 59 and 46, were “too old” to look after the children.

They were allegedly stripped of their carer’s rights and informed they would be barred from seeing the children altogether unless they agreed to the same-sex adoption.

Yes, this happened in the UK, but ya wanna place bets on when it starts happening here?
