Michelle Obama is planting an organic vegetable garden on the South Lawn, the first time this has been done since Eleanor Roosevelt’s Victory garden during WWII. While her rationale of educating “children about healthful, locally grown fruit and vegetables at a time when obesity and diabetes have become a national concern” is not on the top of my list of national concerns, it’s still a good idea. When the economy truly tanks, we should all have alternate sources of food.

In the house of the wise are stores of choice food and oil,
but a foolish man devours all he has.
Proverbs 21:20 (NIV)

LOL. Gotta laugh. Like we needed the WHITE HOUSE to tell us that!

Create the problems, offer a solution. Government never runs out of business …

lol, you’re right, Herky! I’m wondering what we should call this garden. Victory has already been used, and we need something that relates to the current political climate. How ’bout “The Christian Garden for when they can’t buy stuff anymore?” Hmm … that’s a little long. “The Heretics Garden?” That has a nice ring to it. You got any better ideas?

    Does “O-Bulb-a” sound to weird?

How bout, uh, instead of “Hugging the Trees” it’s “Embracing our Peas”??

Maybe I’ll come up with a better one in the morning …

    Have a great weekend!

I like O-Bulb-a, but most people won’t get it. Embracing the Peas is excellent!

I knew I could count on you!

    Blessings!
