Do you have something you love to do – like I love to write? Do you have particular subjects that stir your soul – like Christianity and politics do mine? Do you have a job that pays you to do those things?

Well, starting today, I do! I am now the official “NY Church & State Examiner” for examiner.com. Okay, I’m not going to get rich doing this, but my pay is based on page views, so go check it out, and add a bookmark so you can check back frequently.

My first post is titled “Public education: giving your kids to the state” and regular readers know this is a favorite soapbox. Go read it and leave a comment to tell me what you think.

Thanks, Herky. I wouldn’t have chosen the timing on this, because it’s come right in the middle of a really busy time. But I guess God knows what He’s doing, eh? ;)

    Awesome.

You got some page views from me. Freat article BTW

Aw, thanks, Peter! I’m assuming that freat is a good thing. :)

Great article! Both my wife and I are public school teachers – though my wife ‘retired’ after child #2 to be a stay-at-home mom. Together we have provided home school for our four children – starting about 1988. Wow – 21 years and counting (I still have a 17 year old at home).

Thanks, Mike! Congratulations on home schooling your four kids. Obviously, you’ve set the example for everyone else.
