I absolutely agree! I am reminded of 2 Choronicles 7: 14 "if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land." As America continues to spiral downward, God is calling His people to humble themselves and repent. It is always good to be reminded of that. It's great to see like-minded bloggers out there; thanks for all you do, Jean.

P.S You post reminds me of a post a did recently:

@Jon-Paul As always, you are way too kind. What you call purposeful and unrelentingly forthright, other people call pushy and blunt! But I can only do what's in my heart. And if the Lord doesn't agree, He's proved He can change even my heart.

@Jay I think it is important to reflect on what we're doing and why we're doing it. Most often, I've found that when the Lord leads me this way, a sea change is coming. We'll have to see what happens. :)

@Herky It's great to have you back, my friend! I've missed your insights ... and these times when the Lord is leading us in the same direction. It's very neat to have that confirmation.

@Alice Thank you, dear heart. And, as always, you youngins bless me as well.

Oh, Jean, I think that the blogosphere is one of the ways we believers can exhort and stir up one another; your WFW meme especially has blessed me beyond measure. And thanks for once again reminding us of this blessed purpose :)

Now how cool is that, Jean? I haven't done WFW in a long time, but earlier in the week I felt led to post something, and it just so happens that the focus is on humility in both of our posts. It seemed to me that the passage from James 4 was especially important, and so I posted it, also (not as long as yours, tho). Isn't that so neat?? :D

Well, I obviously love you post. :D Mine isn't a long read, but there are some videos there that may take a little while to watch. But they are well worth it! Hope you find the time to look at it. (I left my link with Mr. Linky.)

Happy WFW!

Good post, Jean! I have to say though, I am really glad that you did start this blog. It's been a real blessing to be able to participate in the WFW meme.

I also wanted to comment on how important I think it is that we take the time to remember why we blog. Too many times blogging becomes about us, when we need to remember that our focus should be about Christ! Thanks for the reminder.

Absolutely loved you WFW today! Not many folks are able, but you, by using God's word are always able to reflect and critically think about -- get this -- how one person CAN do the unbelievable, that is, when God has found favor or needs to use us.

I feel that your writing has been purposeful and unrelentingly forthright -- two qualities that I love when reading your work. We have failed!

And I agree with you so much...we must daily, hourly, always submit ourselves to the loving hands of God...without us doing this corporately as a Nation or a people of God, there will never be hope. All the more reason to pray, eh?

Blessings,
