We recently returned from a short stay along the Sacandaga River near Wells.  Here’s the view we had from the camper:

Here’s the view I had from my lounge chair:

And here’s the sound we could hear from both.  To get a real feel for our trip, just listen while you check out the  photos after this video.

Here’s a sampling of some of the other sights the camera found:

… well, some of it.  The worst of the storm is over, and we wound up with 10 inches of snow.  (Yes, I measured.)

So the challenge was getting this poor, old body to dig out a little bit, as hubby is out of town for the week.  Was I the one that said only last week that I like snow?  I take it all back.

I’ve taken this picture to help me remember why I like to live in the Northeast.  The snow didn’t amount to much, but I suspect there’s more on the way.

Okay, I went to the store this morning to get more kitty formula and a mat to put under their dishes. (Little kitties are very messy eaters.) But when I got to the pet section, my eyes kept going to the toys – so I splurged. Here’s Pumpkin, Peanut, and Princessa with the first of their three new toys.

Right after this video was taken, I swept and mopped the kitchen floor – which would have made another great video, but my hands were too busy sweeping and mopping kitties.

We’re leaving Saturday morning for Massachusetts and the Second Annual Camping Reunion for my hubbie’s family, and it looks like we’ll have nice, dry weather. Hurray!

Note to WFW bloggers: I probably won’t get to your posts before I leave, but I haven’t forgotten you. The Good Lord willin’ and the creek don’t rise, I’ll be back to the blogosphere on Tuesday – maybe even with pictures!

And for the curious:

Yes, we’ve got the Redsox stickers on the back of the pop-up so these New Yawkahs won’t get run off the Turnpike.

Yes, we’re taking the dog and the three itty-bitty-kitties. That should be an adventure. :)

For those of you with a long weekend, enjoy!
